What we do

Homemade South Indian food, cooked the way your family would cook it.

We're not chasing a restaurant-chain menu. We specialise in one thing: authentic South Indian home cooking, built on fresh ingredients, traditional methods, and recipes that have been handed down rather than printed off a template.

The difference is in the pot

This is what "homemade" actually means to us.

Anyone can put "authentic" on a menu. For us, it means the ginger-garlic is ground fresh that morning, the garam masala is our own blend, and the curry leaves come off the stem, not out of a jar. It means a goat curry that simmers for hours because that's how long it actually takes to get tender, not because a recipe card says so.

It also means every order is cooked to order, not reheated from a steam tray. If it's not ready the way we'd serve it at our own table, it doesn't go out the door. That's the only quality check we've ever needed.

Our method

"Dum" isn't a name. It's how we actually cook.

Dum pukht is a slow, sealed-pot method that's been used in South Indian and Hyderabadi kitchens for generations. It takes longer than a quick stovetop fry, and that's exactly the point.

🔒
Seal

The pot is sealed shut

Rice, meat and spice go into the handi in careful layers, then the lid is sealed with dough so no steam or aroma can escape.

🔥
Simmer

It cooks low and slow

Gentle heat from below lets every layer finish together, rice absorbing the meat's juices and spice softening into the grain.

Rest

It rests before it's opened

The final rest is what brings the aroma up through the rice. Open it too early and you've missed the whole point.

Taste it for yourself.

From our everyday specialities to a full catering spread, everything comes out of the same kitchen, cooked the same careful way.
